One of only four Lancasters still capable of moving under their own power (two in the UK and two in Canada, with one in each country remaining airworthy)
The nose art is inspired by the comic strip "Jane" which appeared in the Daily Mirror from 1932 to 1959. The character's adventures mostly culminated in some wardrobe-related mishap, which typically left only the bare minimum necessary to cover her modesty. On a handful of occasions (notably, in celebration of D-Day and VE-Day), even this bare minimum was discarded.
This is the second version of the nose art to adorn NX611. In the first version she wore a sleeved leotard in red: this changed to her current blue-spotted white bikini in the early 2000s.
