South Florida is a literal mecca for bird photography. Great spots include Sanibel Island (including the Ding Darling NWR), the Venice Rookery (behind the Florida Highway Patrol station) and the Everglades National Park (best visited in January when my average number of mosquito bites there is just one). Unlike Arthur Morris, I don't get mud on my belly -- intentionally! That's why Arthur has better images! :)
