The young Elk bulls are pretty much excluded
from the herds during the rut. They hang
around someplace close by; but,
only a very brave (and un-educated!)
young Elk dares to dash the boundries
of the Bull Elk in charge. If he gets caught
trying to integrate into the herd,
he will surely
get chased and scolded strongly
(maybe violently) by the Boss
of the moment.
