The Faltaits Historical and Folklore Museum, situated in Skyros Town since 1964, is one of the first folklore museums founded in Greece at a local level. It comprises a vast collection of Skyros popular artifacts - among which a detailed replica of the famous Skyrian House -, historical documents and books, as well as utensils used in the production processes of the traditional economy.

Unfortunately, the museum is not quite hospitable to amateur photographers, since its administration only allows general frames to be shot, while a hostile stance against digital photography in particular has been adopted; according to the administration, "in no museum in the world is digital photography allowed"! I managed, however, to surpass the prohibitions and give you some more detailed shots, too.
