Hi, I was stationed at Det 7, 9WS at Kadena 66-68. I maintained the upper air sounding unit (GMD) in the white dome at the top of the hill overlooking the base. I have fond memories of the Spanish guitar music at the El Hombre Club in the ally next to the Playboy Club and a very special friend at the White Horse. I left space-A on a departing 141 with not enough time to say good-bye.
