Having more time at home has allowed me to go back and review photos from past trips that I hadn’t had time to go through before now. These Red-masked Parakeets were from a park in Lima on the first day of a trip to Peru back in 2010. They preened each other for quite some time allowing for some nice photographic opportunities. It’s pretty easy to anthropomorphize these two and it’s difficult to think that there isn’t any emotional connection between these two.
