Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana are sometimes called the Forgotten Corner of South America because so few tourists visit. They are almost totally covered with rainforest so most people live near the ocean. We found the rainforest beautiful, fascinating, with inhabitants whose ancestors have lived their for centuries; also, there were heat, humidity and insects galore.
