While staying in Johannesburg we spent a lovely and interesting 5 days in the Balule Nature Reserve which is continuous with the Kruger. The first two days were at Greenfire Game Lodge followed by three at River Rock Lodge in a Rondavel. Both lodges overlooked river valleys – the first was dry and the second not. We thus enjoyed a view of elephants and giraffes from our dining table at River Rock! Absolutely stunning!
These photos were taken using a Canon 5D Mk 4 with a 400mm L lens. This was not a photographic expedition, and all images were taken hand held, and so are somewhat soft, some very! There are no photos from J’berg as I had been advised not to tout my camera or phone for reasons of safety.
