Some good photogenic remains to remind one that this was a working environment and purpose of most of the housing in Coniston village. Not sure whether to feel glad - that guys don't have to slave their guts out for a pittance any more here (transferred to Brazil and China) or sad - that this gutsy real engineering no longer forms part of our living landscape
