this group were almost aflame in the bright sunlight among the scrub on the shingle at Bawdsey point. And also settling repeatedly on the end of dead twigs. (M)

Excellent photo, sun catching the red body and wing spots. Forewings forward and hindwings back: that seems unusual to me.
