Eugene Boudin
1824 - 1898
French Seascape Painter
Eugene Boudin was a painter of the sea and sky around the towns of Le Harve, Trouville and many other coastal locations. He exhibited with the original Impressionist, but was one of the few who regularly exhibited with the Paris Salon. He encouraged a young Claude Monet, who lived in Le Harve, to pursue his painting in a serious manner. He was called the master of the sky by other great artist of the day.
