Weyerhaeuser Timber Corp and Columbia and Cowlitz Railroads served the Longview Washington Forest Product Industries for many years. The WTC RR hauled logs into the Weyerhaeuser mills while the CLC was more of a switching RR connecting the BN mainline with other industries in the Longview Industrial area.
After Mt. St. Helens eruptions and mud flows on the South Toutle River, Weyerhaeuser removed trainloads of damaged, fallen trees many laden with ash and mud. Weyerhaeuser has since moved out of RR operations.
