My family owned Broadway cleaners at 13th and Broadway.Everybody used to call my dad Mr. Johnny. We have been out in Downey Ca.for 35 years.I miss the old East St. Louis.

East St. Louis in the 40, 50, 60 and 70 was a great place to live. We could walk down State Street to go to the movies without any problem. People, it looks like a war zone now but was a great city to grow up back then

my name is decheryl collick i used to live in east st.louis back in the seventies when i heard how the city had changed i was so sad but,im grateful to have lived in such a special place and as you said its a damn shame

hello my names steve russell i know live in kansas city mo. i'm very grateful to have lived in the city which is east saint louis illinois. no matter what has happen to my city or the neglect of funds im still proud of my roots.always a lincoln senior high 1980 graduate. ode to east saint louis. xoxoxo the city of no pity.east boogie baby.2007.git---r done the right way polticians. dam shame. always. i xo my city.
