We made it 10 miles down the road to fill up the gas tank. Something was wrong
with the equalizer bars on our equalizing tow hitch. We tried to adjust them, pulled
out of the gas station's driveway and heard a thunk and then chains dragging. We
got out and looked and the bars were dragging on the ground. We fixed them, drove
a few miles, pulled over to check, readjusted them again, drove out of that driveway
and THUNK. We pulled over again, couldn't figure out what to do, took off the rods and
went home!
We didn't feel comfortable pulling the trailer without the load equalizers.
