From the deck of our tented room at the Mara Safari Club, we look down on the hippos in the bend of the Mara River.
The stay there most all day long, and become very active at night, often so loud that they sound as though the are coming right into our room.
Fortunately, the banks of the river are very steep and the log rails prevent intrusion !
