I was out working in my gardens when I discovered this nest of cottontail babies under an Alberta Spruce. I counted 8 babies in the nest. I uncovered it while wearing gloves, only once more after my discovery, for my friend and I to photograph them. They were exposed for only a few minutes. They did not like the light. The rabbits do major winter damage to my plants, but I could never harm them.
