This young possum is lucky not to be a flat possum. It crossed the road just as I came over the crest of a hill. Luckily it was a road on which one doesn't drive fast. I pulled over up from it and grabbed my camera. I walked up the road toward it on the opposite side of the road. It didn't run away, but let me get some images. It was still foraging along the side of the road when I left. I have one which, I think, lives under my shed and comes out to forage under the bird feeders. This is the first one I've seen during the daytime.
