First CT scan results showed the cancer had spread: all the lymph nodes in my abdomen were severly swollen (5+ cm). It had also begun spreading up into my neck (my oncologist could actually feel the glands in my neck- felt like a pieces of "hard candy"). I was classified Stage IIIa.
