Absolutely LOVE this lens! It's a perfect combo with my D300. Super responsive, very sharp and great contrast. Plenty of 17-55 pics at my NZ gallery as well as some 70-300 VR pics. http://www.pbase.com/thrumyeyes/nz

Well, I know this lens has received many mixed reviews from many of us pround Nikon users. But I must admit mine is simply a piece of gold for my taste.

Unbelievable perfect glass. I'm having 2nd one, brand new from US and now I'm pretty sure - I will never sell this lens !!! I would love to stay with my 2 glasses as much as I will resist, 17-55 + 70-200 - I don't need anything else,. This couple it's just suitable for me,. Almost all images from both of those lenses are with an exceptional quality and exposure + very nice bokeh as an additional BIG PLUS :o) I wish I could have another 2.8 lens soon, like 17-35 or my "dream team": 50 or 85 mm 1.4 Zeiss Planar * .... hm ... time time time ... and lot of money :) Cheers,. I have compared this lens with the 17-35, the 17-55 definitely produce tack sharp photos plus you get more focal length. Add the 70-200 VR in your bag and you are set. Samples from my collection. http://www.locusart.com/wallpapers/page_01.html
