Kent - thanks awfully for those generous observations. While this image hasn't received much comment, I too feel it's special in some way. And GMTA - I often thought an axe was missing from the scene, too.

Your love for nature has found its way into everyone of your pictures. You are so close to it and this picture is a good example of you using dark and light together, something I like in particular. The only thing missing here is the ax sticking out from the top of the log. (Just kidding). Brrrrr, I'm glad I'm not out in that cold!
