Black Crowned Night Heron

Shot this morning at the Sunnyvale Baylands.

Unretired the Olympus 2100 for my big zoom camera as my trusty Nikon D70 fell ill to the "Blinking Green Light of Death" or BGLOD.
Not totally surprised by this as many of these cameras have been having this problem.
Not too bad for an old 2MP camera.

So, boxing it up tonight and shipping it to So. Cal for free servicing.

If 'they' can have a name for the illness it MUST be a good sign! Hope you get it back pronto, in the meantime you have a worthy backup. Always wanted an UZI.

sorry to hear your D70 has fallen sick. I think you have lots of self control to send it back for repair instead of using it as an excuse to buy a shiny new toy. ;-) That little heron looks quite cute.

Oeps! sorry to hear about your D70. Hope nothing comes next after the laptop, eyeglasses and D70. Anyway, this photo is great with nice lighting effect and the little bird looks cold.. :)

too bad about the D thingy Bryan... but Oly came thru with the trusty UZI which was my first digi... just ordered the E-500... and by the way I like the image... looks like a miniature green heron... :)
