This is the justification for hauling 28 pounds of camping gear on my back as
I have just returned from a weekend of backpacking in the Jennie Lakes Wilderness
Region, near Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park.
This was my first time doing the real backpacking and my sorry back held up
just fine.
Nice cool weather, blue sky with deer running around the rim of the lake.
The nights were spectacularly clear as the stars were reflecting off the calm
surface of the lake.
More pics to come as we travel to another alpine lake.
