Hiking down the long closed Old Big Oak Flat Road along the North side of Yosemite Valley.

Initially built during the Gold Rush about 1849. It became a wagon road into Yosemite Valley in 1874.
It was abandoned as a road as it became dangerous and after several rock slides.

Today, it is an unmaintained trail with several large rock slides to scramble over.
