Monday Night Football for the Kansas City Chiefs was at home.
Monday Night Baseball Post-Season for the Kansas City Royals was in New York as part of the October Playoffs.
This meant that split screens or else a lot of channel flipping for the fans of both Kansas City teams watching on TV. Multi Big Screens (with both the Royals and the Chiefs) catered to those for those who attended public Watch Parties. And transistor radios with earbuds was not uncommon for many who attended the Chief game in person. Kansas City loves both of their hometown teams and didn't want to miss a moment of the action.
Many fans also dressed in both Chiefs Red and Royals Blue together to show local support of both teams.
While the Chiefs game was still going on, the hometown crowd at Arrowhead Stadium went absolutely wild with excitement the moment that the Royals won their game in New York. That must have left the Saints wondering what was happening.
Not long after the Royals had won in New York, the Chiefs took care of business at home and also won their game. Despite so many of their key players out with injuries, the Chiefs remain undefeated in the 2024 season. Tonight was quite the night for Kansas City sports fans. We found it fun to see both teams win!!!
