This was our three Chihuahuas' last "outing" for the day.

Being house broken to only go outdoors, we let them do their "early evening" thing outside in the bitter cold. They weren't happy & only spent about 2 minutes (at most) outside, but the outing was successful.

However, by the time of their "before-bed" outing, the temperature had hit minus -10°F degrees Fahrenheit with a Wind Chill in excess of MINUS 40°. That was just too cold!!! It was dangerously cold. So, they went to bed early without going potty.

FOOTNOTE: All three were good girls and actually waited until the next morning when the temperature was back up to -5°F and the wind had died down a little. Windchills were only minus 20 by then.

Yes, we do pamper our little dogs, but we also treat them like real dogs. I don't paper train. My dogs potty outdoors; even in the freezing cold. The only exception would be below zero tempts (actual tempt) with ice or snow on the ground that could instantly freeze their little paws.
