For the past 125 years, Americans have celebrated Labor Day on the first Monday in September marking the unofficial end of summer. In fashion, Labor Day is (or was) considered the last day when it is acceptable to wear white. It’s the third-most-popular day of the year to host a cookout behind Independence Day and Memorial Day.

Yes, we had BBQ for a big, holiday feast: brisket, burn ends, ribs, smoked pork... Bailey really enjoyed her brisket at $16 a pound. Good thing she is tiny. No one at our house did any "work" today; including my doggy models who just did their own thing while enjoying good weather and time on the deck. It was a good day. Despite old, Victorian fashion traditions, Bailey will also continue to wear a white fur coat all year round.
