M 8 is a bright emission nebula in Sagittarius, and is visible to
the unaided eye. On the left hand side of the nebula, you find
the open cluster NGC 6530, which has formed out of this huge
cloud of hydrogen. Further to the left, near the edge of the image,
you can see a tiny reddish globular cluster, NGC 6544.
