Cederblad 214

Cederblad 214 is an emission nebula in Cepheus near
the larger and fainter NGC 7822, which is often confused
with this nebula. This object shows an astounding
complexity of glowing ionized hydrogen and dark obscuring dust.
Radiation from the cluster of stars on the right side of the
image is eroding the gas and dust from this region and sculpting
it into dramatic pillars, which point back toward the cluster.
