Woodturning basket illusion of Navajo Wedding Basket. The size is
14½ inches diameter and 2⅞ inches deep. The wood is maple that was
turned to a shallow bowl shape with a thickness of 5/16 inch and
matching beads were turned on the front and back side to begin the
basket illusion. The coiled basket illusion was completed by
using pyrography to burn the braided rim and wrapped details
on the coils. Pigment based inks were used for the
wedding basket pattern.
