FLYING SAMARITANS, El Hongo, BC, Mexico

This is a collection of photos that I have taken while volunteering for the Palomar Chapter of the Flying Samaritans. Volunteers come from various areas in Southern California, including Cal State Fullerton and UC Riverside. El Hongo is located about 20 miles east of Tecate, Baja California, Mexico. I hope the photos give you a little insight as to what happens at this clinic on a monthly basis. It's been a great experience, and I've met a lot of great people along the way. Enjoy the photos and feel free to leave any comments.

Hello my name is Esmeralda (Esme) and I'm a Medical Assistant. I work for the Riverside County Regional Medical Center with The Mobile Health Clinic. Hi! I can't seem to find the next El Hongo Flying Sams trip date on their website - only San Quintin and Santa Ynez. How can I fin out about this one? I am in Orange County and would like to drive in whenever I have availability. (I am an MSIV trying to learn Spanish)

Hi Frank, It's not a shelter, it's a community center that we turn into a medical clinic once a month to provide care to those who have no access. Thanks for looking.
