INFORMATION ABOUT WWRA:

WWRA (Wheeler Wildlife Refuge Association), also known as the"Friends of the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge". The Refugeis managed by the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service as funded by Congress but in these times financially supplemented by WWRA for some special projects and donated labor. Each of these photos will explain a little about the WWRA, it's mission. amd last a application which can be printed and mailed in for membership priviledges.

Each year an annual meeting is held at the Refuge's Welcome Center with a tour for the members of the "closed" portions of the Refuge where the waterfowl, deer, cranes, and other animals live in peace and protection....along with the tour the WWRA members have a short meeting and a free dinner. For a day's (or half day) activities the basic tax free donation (of twenty dollars) is a good investment for the return that day will give the member. Plus each membership assists the U.S. Fish and Game Service provide the aid and protection of all wildlife within these protected borders known as Wheeler Wildlife Refuge.

Please look over the material, consider becoming an WWRA member and enjoy the photographs I take at the Wheeler Wildlife Refuge. And, if you visit the Refuge you will be able to enjoy the same scenes I photograph. After all these protected particular lands may not be as grand as the better funded and known Refuges in other parts of the United States and Territories, but to the life within it........Our spport is vital to their quiet and protected lives. Thanks Beau
