Message in a Bottle

North Berwick

Mack found this bottle on the beach and it had a genuine message in it.
I assume it had been thrown into the water by someone marooned on a desert island with a distillery.
This is a great example of the advantage of a swivel screen. It was easy to compose this picture on the GH3 without lying on the wet sand.

wonderful. If I ever get stranded on a deserted island, I hope it has a fully functioning craft brewery on it. :)

Mack the detective!

Yes. What did the message say? :o) Great shot though. I used not to think that swivel screens were useful ... until I got one.

Shame it wasn't a treasure map. ;-)

Is there a parking lot near the beach where Mack found this? Think it was tossed from a car hoping to it float out to sea after drinking the contents? Might explain the note ..... Just a thought. Great capture. !

Did you read the message? What a great find, good on Mack! And a great capture by you.

Interesting find. The Edradour distillery is in Pitlochry - maybe the bottle was dropped into the River Tay :-)

Nicely found -- by both of you...! (Funnily enough, the "swivel screen" was the only thing I missed, moving from my Nikon 8700 to my D200... -- it helps in so many situations...!)
