Comparison

Left: Nikon D700 with 24-70mm f/2.8
Right: Panasonic GH3 with 12-35mm f/2.8

These two lenses give identical angles of view due to the 2X crop factor of the m43 system.
Both are also f/2.8 but the Panasonic has in-built vibration reduction while the Nikon does not.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2
1/30s f/9.0 at 45.0mm iso800 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I've got the same Lumix 12-35mm on my Olympus OM-D, I'm very pleased with it too. However, my Canon 5D II with its 24-70 2.8 is a tick or two better. Best to have both ! V

They'll both have their strengths, as long as you have one with you at the right time.

I'm going to buy the Pana-Combo tomorrow. I take lots of my pictures during bycicle trips and my experience is that size matters.
(By the way, I think you mean the other left)

Interesting comparison. I'd still take the D700 + 24-70 any day. My favorite combo.

Good things/small packages, etc....! (Mind you, I love my D200...!)

Hmmm, a quick glance says " size doesn't matter". I'll just leave that alone!!!! V
