Haute Cuisine

When you think of the great cuisines of the world, such as French, Italian and, perhaps, Japanese. Don't forget Scottish.
Exquisite battered sausage, deep fried pies, white and black puddings.
Perfect for the beginning of September, on a cold and damp day.
I did get some strange looks from the owner of the fish and chip shop when I took this picture of his food.
And, yes, with salt and vinegar, the chips were delicious.

Some how " heart healthy" and Scottish food don't seem to fit is the same sentence. I grew up in a Scottish town and one of the biggest treats was fish and chips on Friday nights, still a treat when I go back home. V great image

Yummy, thanks for your reminder of the delicious Scottish food, Bill. V
A Scottish friend of mime Tim told me it, or I always think of the Italian and French food.
