Moon in a blue Sky?

Moon taken with 300mm lens. Note sky was still blue at this time but shortened exposure renders it black. Some Noise is evident though. Crop from 10M pixel original

1/350s f/9.5 at 300.0mm iso800 (IMG_5107c) full exif

If you continute to aim for the stars, you'll probably find an alien looking back right at you through his camera lens. This is just amazing. I never thought a 300 mm lens could provide moon shots like this!

Great shot! I have the 70-300mm but didn't ever try aiming it at the moon!

Great detail captured in the craters approaching the dark side of the moon. You just need a teleconverter now to get a bit closer to full frame ;)
