Between the Camera and a Hard place

Was I BORED to take a picture of the brick wall on the neighbours house?

Lens Samyang 800mm Mirror lens F8 (fixed), manual focus, hand held
Distance to brick wall ~ 10m, angle downward at ~ 45 deg

This minimalistic image was taken to "try out the new lens". You can see the very narrow depth of field in the brickwork. The lens is adequately sharp especially considering its 800mm, but compared to a 400mm zoom that is cropped at 2X the sharpness is about the same. Its advantage is its lightness to hand hold and rapid manual focus (I take a few shots to bracket the best focus). The other advantage is that I have made a 90 deg mirror adapter for my telescope eye pieces and its now also a great lightweight 800mm telescope.At F8 (105mm dia) its bright for stars and nebulae.
