Ultra Wideange - Samyang 14mm manual lens
This manual lens is fantasticly sharp provided you allow for
the fact that infinity focus occurs at 3m on the scale on the lens.
With the lens focused on its scale at 3m and F5.6 everything from
infinity to about 2m is in sharp focus which makes the lens super
easy to use. In this image I was 1m from the danger sign and set
the lens focus to 3m to get the high wires at their sharpest.
To use the lens quickly, just forget about the focus, set lens to 3m
and f5.6 and shoot in aperture priority for correct exposure.
Compare this image with previous image which is, a cropped
Sigma 10-20mm APS-C zoom set to 10mm ~ equivalent to 14mm.
