After we landed in Kulusuk, I walked towards the village (I didn’t realise how far it was!) and climbed a hill which I discovered was the site of the local cemetery (complete with plastic flowers). The airport is on the flat land in the far distance. The dirt road between the airport and the village is at the bottom of the hill.
