In the morning, we picked up up my mother and my uncle and aunt at the Ayr train station (they had been on a different Scotland tour). We went to Maybole Castle where we had a very interesting talk and tour, then we went to a Burns Lunch (variation of a Burns Supper) at Cassillis House (pronounced "cassels"), the home of Lord Ailsa and his mother, Lady Mary, the Marchioness of Ailsa. It rained during most of that event, but the weather did not dampen our spirits! After the lunch, we took a quick trip to Culzean Castle (pronounced “cullane”) so my mom and my aunt and uncle could have a chance to see it. Then Elaine, Jim, and I were dropped off at Robert Burns National Heritage Park, and my mom, uncle, and aunt were driven back to Ayr station to take a train to Glasgow. This was the last day of our tour with Lord Ailsa, so in the evening, Elaine, Vicki, Jim, and I had a last drink with Lord Ailsa at the Chestnuts Hotel, the sister hotel of the Old Racecourse, located across the street.
