The permanent exhibition includes a variety of secular, ecclesiastical, tomb and everyday use original works in marble (lintels, fountains, coats of arms, burials, shrines, mortars, etc.), clay molds and plaster copies, quarrying tools and marble, archival material, as well as the richest collection of designs of old marble sculptures that exists in Greece. At the same time, the audiovisual material of the exhibition directly brings to life the traditional working methods of the quarry and the marble artist, while the images of the journey record the strong presence of marble throughout the island and encourage visitors to their own tours. Finally, the exhibition extends to the open-air spaces of the museum.
