Thinking back this could have been Peel street. There was a pedestrian bridge over Cain Road and this street was to the North of Cain Road going downwards. However it could equally as likeley have been Shelly Street but I do remember standing on some steps to take this shot.

I think the escalator is to the right of this pic and this street still looks exactly the same. Unless it is Shelley street futher up the hill that is now Soho - with all the restaraunts - but still the area around looks the same. But slowly changing as the trendy restaraunts and bars and shops spread around. But old grannies still sell their stuff on the streets and the markets and stuff are still all over.
