There are many various ethnic groups in Kurdistan.
I am slowly getting to know some of these groups more intermently.
One thing they all have in common is their friendliness and hospitality.

Thank you shaezlah for your comments. I would love for the Kurds to gain some independence and automony but I fear the powers to be will not let it happen. In the meantime I will continue to enjoy living and working with the beautiful people of Kurdistan.

My ather is a Kurd from Syria...And, I am just wondering...When will Kurdistan be reborn??...I just can't stand the states that took advantage of Kurdistan and ripped it in 4...It's not RIGHT!!...But anyway...Sooner or later..Kurdistan will be reborn!..God doesn't abbandon people so generous and rightous like the Kurds!!!...

Dear Friend I missed those people and i missed Kurdistan, I always feel like i am in Kurdistan as Urdu i closed to kurdish and people here are also friendly . I hope peace be all over the world one day,no Wars, no Famine, no Earthquakes, most of all no suffer.

Anthony, these are just wonderful images. They help me appreciate even more the tragedy of the current horrors over there. While I realize that the Kurdistan region has been less impacted, the fact that people such as these (i.e., any people) should have to face the fear of such violence is so unfair and terrible. Thanks for sharing your photos and, for me anyway, helping to bring things to a personal level. In many ways I envy your ability to experience this first hand.
