Donkey Station at sleep


Did not want to take a picture of an abused donkey instead took this image of the owners.

Transporting tourists up the steep cliff face (570 stairs) in Fira with little shade, food and water - and being hit by the owners, it is disgusting.

Please, please don't ride the donkeys, they are often abused by their owners all for the amusement of pampered tourists.
The donkeymen have a sharp metal point in the ends of their sticks they use to prod them when they get stubborn.
They can easily remove it and put it in their pocket when it's not needed. Riders look forward and more than likely wouldn't be aware it was happening.
