The Ranch House, built starting about 1810, is located on Camp Pendelton Marine Base, and is normally not accessible to the public.
Built partially in Adobe Style some of the walls are up to nine feet thick. This is by far the largest adobe house in Southern California.
After use over the years as the residence of the Base Commandant and as a venue for entertaining, the house will undergo extensive renovation.
The house will not be accessible for at least three years. These are probably the last photos before renovation.
