San Salvador & Californian

Ships of the Maritime Museum of San Diego.
The museum has been closed since March and the ships have not been used.
I fear the museum might not survive this epedemic.

Exquisite capture. The fog envelops the
scene so well……Walter.

Ah, this is wonderful.

This is an absolute masterpiece and a timeless classic!
This should be in a museum.
I certainly hope the museum can survive and thrive again.

A great atmosphere in this excellent photo! Many museums are already bankrupt or will soon go bankrupt and that is a disaster V
Marcia Rules23-Oct-2020 13:22
A wonderful study in the condition of it all. The gray skies make it work. VV

Perfect setting for these ships.

A dramatic story for the museum !
The fog gives a sense of timelessness to this superb image. V.

Perfect...but is that Errol Flynn over there, hard to see through the fog :)) V
Raymond Ma23-Oct-2020 04:52
The beautiful lines and shapes of these ships are so nicely softened by the fog. It is unfortunate that the pandemic has especially affected museums and art galleries. V

When fog actually makes a photo 'pop' - Hopefully things can turn and the museum can holdfast.

Wow great image and mood Walter BV

A wonderful mysterious mood created by the dense fog, Walter. This year has not been good for any museums, I don't reckon! V

I really like this image. I sure hope the museum finds a way to make it through the pandemic. V

The fog adds to the direness of the situation. This could be a scene from hundreds of years ago. I can almost hear the foghorn. V
Marisa Livet22-Oct-2020 17:49
It's really a masterpiece, so moody, accurate and pictorial👏👏👏

Cool image with the fog! Something about masts of ships. V
Philip P22-Oct-2020 15:40
Fantastic, the fog really sets the moos for this shot!
Dan Greenberg22-Oct-2020 15:27
Seeing these in the fog adds a whole new dimension to their impact. It also gives me a sense of what it would be like to see them in port long ago. Wonderful image Walter. ~BV~
