Boeing 377 Stratocruiser

One of 56 built. This one flew for Northwest Airlines 1949-1960.
The large flat panel contains the controls for the Flight Engineer.
From top left, Anti Icing, Heating, Air Conditioning, Cabin Air Pressure, Central Oil System, Oil Dilution, Oil Cooling, Electrical System, Flaps and Flue System.

A fabulous and amazing image! The tones are superb. A veritable maze of gages. I can't imagine sitting there and grasping all the data. I would not touch any of the controls and hope everything went well. :) V

Holy Cow ... quite an impressive and mind blowing array of dials of all sorts ... to think that all that + many folds can be stored in a single laptop today! But then again, when man went to the moon, the only calculators then were X-+ and divide!!! I love this shot in B+W ... quite striking.
