La Jolla

Went for a long walk along the shore this morning and came across a few guys boogie boarding.
I stood and watched them for a while. Given the size of the waves they were pretty good.
I was actually in search of Pelicans in flight, but only saw a few resting.
Saw loads of Gulls, Cormorants, Seals and Sea Lions. Didn't take many photos. Liked this one best.
For those interested the current water temperature is 57F = 14C.

Looks like he's sailing on the kelp, interesting to see it in the spray. They certainly are dedicated to be surfing in the cold water. Great catch. V

Wow ... what a world! Here it is MINUS 15 Celsius and snowing heavily, 90 km/hour winds ... they predict icing rain overnight ... wishing I was in Fort-Lauderdale instead of shovelling snow!
