GERMANY NOSTALGIA MONTH

The Niederwald Temple overlooking the Rhine, above Rudesheim.
The original was built by a Count in 1788 and was visited by Beethoven and Goethe, amongst others. In 1944 allied bombers destroyed the temple completely, and this reconstructured temple was built in 2006.
