Do Not Disturb, I知 Nesting

I checked that goose this morning(Apr 23, 2008) but I found only empty nest and broken egg shells. I hope there was a fox not a human. If you would like to see newborn goslings go to Ed http://www.pbase.com/image/96030930 His goose was lucky.

What remarkable intensity, Alina. The faces of geese and other birds generally can't show much emotion -- the facial muscles are far less expressive than mammals. Yet you manage to express emotion here, through vantage point and light. You continue to stun me with your artistry. Expressive wildlife photography is very difficult -- it is more than animal portraiture. It involves ideas, not description. (See my Safari gallery athttp://www.pbase.com/pnd1/safari for examples. I just updated it with some tiger images from India.) You have overcome such difficulties, and manage to express ideas very strongly here, Alina.

Thank you for the kind referral. Let us hope that the broken egg shells you saw were simply the result of the chicks hatching and the family has moved out into the water.
