Hobbs Meter shows total hours unit pump has run. TDS meter indicates conductivity of permeate in ppm equivalent NaCl. Indicated 3 ppm represents about 98% rejection as feed runs approximately 135 ppm. Inlet TDS can also be monitored. The meter is confused by EMI pulses generated by diaphragm pressure pump if these are not filtered from the 110 volt feed to RO unit.
